Ben Clarbrough

Ben has been an SBINZ Snowboard examiner snce 2000, & currently holds a seat on the Snowboard Technical Committee.
Ben works out of Queenstown in the winter and summer.

Dan Smith

Dan has been a SBINZ examiner since 2008, and has done season in the US as well as in Europe. Dan is based in Queenstown for the winter and follows the snow in the northern hemisphere winter.

NZSIA / SBINZ Level 3/ISIA/BASI training Snowboard Program 2009

Snowboard ISIA training If you have been to New Zealand before, you may have already got your NZSIA Stage 1 qualification, which is now called the NZSIA Level 2, or you have a qualification from another country and you are wanting to use the NZ season to get in some further training towards your ISIA or other certification level. Then this program will be ideal for you.

Our Level 3 / ISIA program is designed to allow you to continue your development as a rider and a snowboard instructor, and continue to train for your future goals.

The focus will be stongly on higher level snowboard performance, with the overall goal of the program to take you to new levels of skill.

NZSIA Stage 2 training course If you are already in the snowsports industry and you wish to continue your training then please contact us and we can help advise you whether the NZSIA Level 3 would be a good goal for you.

We have put together a range of courses, in order to suit different people's needs.

NZSIA / SBINZ Level 3 Course - this is an 8 week course designed to allow you to come down to Queenstown and train for your NZSIA Level 3. The accommodation, transport and lift pass are all included, and there will also be the NZSIA Level 3 pre- course (5 days), then 12 days training over 4 weeks, followed by the NZSIA Level 3 assesment (3 days).

ISIA Training 8 weeks - this is a program designed to allow you to train for your next level of certification, or just an opportunity to improve your personal performance. 8 weeks accommodation, transport and lift pass are all included, as well as 12 days training over a 4 week period.

Even though the training will be over a 4 week period, there is 8 weeks of accommodation in order to allow you to come to Queenstown, NZ and get settled in and get your snow legs, before the training begins.

Ideal if you are training for a BASI, CSIA, PSIA or any other certification.

ISIA Training 6 weeks - this is a program designed to allow you to train for your next level of certification, or just an opportunity to improve your personal performance. 6 weeks accommodation, transport and lift pass are all included, as well as 12 days training over a 4 week period.

Even thought the training will be over a 4 week period, there is 6 weeks of accommodation in order to allow you to come to Queenstown, NZ and get settled in and get your snow legs, before the training begins.

Ideal if you are trainig for a BASI, CSIA, PSIA or any other certification.

ski performance camps Training Only - this is a 4 week course with no exams, no lift pass and no accommodation included.
